Rules

In the Classic deck mode, you are dealt 8 hands of 5 cards. The object of the game is to combine each hand together to equal 21 and to make it through the deck as quickly as possible. Alternatively, you can play the classic game of Twenty-Four where you are dealt 10 hands of 4 cards and your goal is to combine them to equal 24 (Aces are always equal to 1 in Twenty-Four). In classic mode, the number of hands counts down to completion.

Scoring

Points are awarded for how quickly you solve the hand and for the difficulty of the hand. The difficulty is determined by how many possible paths there are to the solution. An additional 5 bonus points are awarded for each subsequent hand that is completed, meaning 5 points for the first hand, 10 points for the second, etc.

Each hand allows for 5 free undos. Subsequent undos will penalize you 5 points per use. You can skip a hand at any time by pressing the circular hand count button on the right and then confirming it with the action button in the middle. You will be penalized the difficulty value of the hand for skipping the hand and you will also be penalized an additional 5 minutes of time.

Rules

In Endless mode, you choose a difficulty level (Casual, Normal, or Hard) and solve each hand in the time limit given (10, 5, or 1 minute respectively). After solving a hand the timer resets. The game ends when the timer reaches zero. Points are awarded for speed and difficulty. The object of the game is to acheive the highest score. You cannot skip hands in Endless mode. After solving a hand the game pauses and saves your progress. When the game is paused the timer shows the total running time that you've been playing this mode. After the game ends (by failing to solve the hand before the time runs out), the goal button can be selected to show a possible solution for the hand.

In Puzzle mode, each day a new hand is available with a specific goal for the day. The object of the game is to combine the hand together to equal the specified goal. After reaching the daily goal a new target goal is given for the same hand. There are three difficulty levels: Casual, Normal, or Hard. Casual sorts the goals from easiest to hardest and removes goals involving fractions. Normal sorts the goals from easiest to hardest, but keeps fractional values as goals. Hard shuffles all the possible goals randomly. After solving a hand the game pauses and saves your progress. The timer shows a running total of the time, paused between completed hands.

Hints

The daily goal (the first target) does not depend on the difficulty level and may not be as straightforwards as it seems. Additionally, clicking the goal button will reveal the prime factors of the goal. In the case of a fraction it shows the prime factors for the larger of the two values. Depending on the difficulty (Casual, Normal, or Hard), after some time (1, 5, or 10 minutes respectively) the option to reveal a solution is given by clicking the button with the goal. You will receive no points for revealed hands.
